The setup
On a night of wind and rain, at a remote martial-world inn, a martial artist collapsed, struck down by poison. No one has gone outside, so the killer is one of those staying at this inn. You're a wandering swordsman who happened to stop by. Look into the guests to single out the assassin who used the poison, then decipher the last letters the dead man left in blood to reveal who was behind it all.
